Justin Welsh's The Creator MBA: What's Inside (and Who It's For)

Note: The Creator MBA replaces Justin Welsh’s older Content OS and LinkedIn OS courses, which I reviewed here and here .

Disclosure: I may earn a commission if you buy through my link. It doesn’t change the price you pay.

What is The Creator MBA?

The Creator MBA is Justin Welsh’s flagship course. In his words it “delivers a complete blueprint for starting, building, and sustaining a profitable Internet business.” It covers coming up with business ideas, understanding why and how people buy, developing and testing offers, getting attention, building your email list, pitching, converting and more.

Justin says it’s the result of 5 years of building his own one-person business, recording what worked and what didn’t, and putting it all under one roof instead of having to piece it together from random videos and blog posts.

If you’ve read my reviews of his older courses you’ll know I follow Justin closely. He’s a Solopreneur (like me), and the Creator MBA is where everything he used to teach in the Content OS and LinkedIn OS now lives.

What’s Included?

According to the course page, you get:

  • 14 in-depth chapters
  • 111 lessons of video training, around 19 hours in total, done at your own pace
  • A Notion “Work Station” with templates, tools and processes to help you apply what he teaches
  • A bonus “How to Start from Scratch” mini-course (about 3 hours) for complete beginners
  • Bonus LinkedIn Growth and Twitter Growth courses
  • Lifetime access and lifetime updates, with immediate access to everything (nothing is “dripped” out)

Updates Justin says could be added over time include new video lessons, guest expert presentations, case study interviews with students, improvements to the Notion Work Station and updated software recommendations.

What Does the Course Cover?

The course page highlights these topics (it says there are 14 chapters in total; these are the ones it describes):

  1. The Long-Game Journey - the foundations. No shortcuts, it takes patience and vision.
  2. Choosing a Business Idea - a simple 2-part framework for coming up with and validating business ideas.
  3. Creating Your Unique Value Proposition - building a value statement and capitalising on what makes you unique.
  4. The Modern Customer Journey - how customers move from stage to stage and what that means for an online business.
  5. Building & Distributing Content - getting the right content in front of the right people, including a bonus LinkedIn & Twitter primer.
  6. Capturing Traffic - turning followers into email subscribers so you’re not relying on channels you don’t control.
  7. Creating Stacked Offers - a framework for creating compelling offers, whatever you sell.
  8. Email Marketing - welcoming new subscribers, setting up a newsletter and growing your list.
  9. How to Analyze & Improve - looking at your key numbers and running experiments.
  10. A/B Testing & Optimization - using data rather than bias to pick the winning offer, landing page or lead magnet.
  11. Time Management & Productivity - Justin’s time management approach and his SMART Annual Planning framework.
  12. Business Systems & Automation - working out what a solopreneur should and shouldn’t automate.
  13. Advanced Content Frameworks - the 10 frameworks Justin uses to create content.

Note: These are the topics the course page describes. Justin says the course will keep being updated, so the curriculum may change over time.

As an email marketing guy, I was pleased to see a whole chapter on email and another on capturing traffic. It’s the same message I bang on about on this site: build your list on a platform you control.

Who Is It For?

Justin says the Creator MBA is for anyone with expertise, knowledge or experience they can turn into an online business, whether that’s high-touch (consulting or services) or low-touch (self-study products). It’s aimed at businesses with an online audience that deliver a service remotely or sell a digital product. If your business falls outside that, he says it might not be the best fit.

It’s a good fit if you know the course is a tool you’ll need to actually use, you’re willing to rethink or pivot your idea, you’re prepared to show up every day and be patient, and you take action rather than make excuses.

It’s not a good fit if you think buying a course equals success, you don’t want to do the unsexy work of running a business, you want to be told exactly what to do every minute, or you’re after a technical manual for tools like Kajabi or ConvertKit.

Who Is Justin Welsh?

From the course page: Justin was an executive at a healthcare startup that grew to a valuation of over $1 billion before he left to build a business around the life he wanted. He says he has built an audience of roughly one million followers across X/Twitter and LinkedIn, an email list of close to 200,000, and has generated more than $5 million in business revenue.

How Much Does It Cost?

When I checked the course page on 10 October 2026, The Creator MBA was listed at $549, marked down from $897. It’s a one-time payment that includes lifetime access and future updates. Prices change, so check the current price on the course page.

No refunds: Justin is upfront that all sales are final and he doesn’t offer refunds on The Creator MBA. There’s also no email or phone support. It’s a self-guided course. Make sure it’s right for you before you buy.

FAQ

Q: How long does it take to complete?

A: There’s around 19 hours of video, plus the roughly 3 hour “Start from Scratch” mini-course. Justin is clear it’s not something you watch over a weekend and see results on Monday. It takes time to learn and time to implement.

Q: I’m a complete beginner. Can it help me?

A: Justin recommends beginners start with the bundled “How to Start from Scratch” mini-course, get the foundations in place and land a first customer, then move on to the more advanced chapters.

Q: Will I have to pay for updates?

A: No. According to the course page, buyers get future updates free, even if the price goes up for new customers.

Final Thoughts

If you liked the sound of Justin’s Content OS or LinkedIn OS, the Creator MBA is now the place to get his material, and it goes a lot further: ideas, offers, content, email, systems and planning, all in one course. It’s not cheap and there are no refunds, so it’s best suited to people who already know Justin’s work and are ready to put in the effort.
